Expedition-Grade Gear Across the North
When you rent from us, you receive well-maintained, expedition-grade gear. We offer canoe rentals throughout the Northwest Territories in Yellowknife, Fort Simpson, Norman Wells, Lutsel K’e, and Inuvik. Sea kayaks are avaliable at this time only out of Yellowknife.
What’s Included
To keep things simple, all canoe rentals include 2 life jackets, 2 paddles plus 1 spare, and 1 throw bag.
Sea kayak rentals come equipped with a 1 paddle float, 1 throw bag, 1 spray skirt, and 1 bilge pump.

We offer additional gear with canoe/kayak rentals at the following rates (CAD$ + 5% GST).
Expedition Services
For groups of 6 or more, we can provide backcountry food that’s waterproofed and packed for your trip—just email info@jackpinepaddle.com to inquire.
Accommodations can be provided in Yellowknife at our Guide House and in Norman Wells at our log bunkhouse. These facilities make for a comfortable home and ideal outfitting base for your canoe or kayak trip.

Multi-Day Canoe & Sea Kayak Rentals
We specialize in overnight and multi-day canoe and sea kayak rentals for wilderness expeditions. Please note in Yellowknife we are not located waterside, so we don’t offer hourly or single-day recreational rentals. For those options, we recommend Sundog Adventures!
Community & Group Rentals
We do provide 1-day rentals with transportation for community governments, organizations, and group paddling programs. Contact us for availability and pricing.

Prices listed below exclude GST. Equipment returned early is not eligible for partial refunds. Additional fees may apply for Tandem kayaks, TRAK pack kayaks, Ally pack canoes, rentals in Inuvik or Lutsel’Ke. Rentals outside Yellowknife are subject to minimum weekly rate.

No camping gear? No problem! We’ve got you covered! We have the basics to outfit you and your friends and family for a memorable experience. All you will need to bring is a sense of adventure and your personal items. Ask about camp stoves, pots, cultery, headlamps, and maps if you need them.
Our equipped camping package includes: – one inflatable sleeping pad (thick and supportive but light and compressible) – one sleeping bag (rated to your conditions) – one tent (easy to assemble, light and watertight)

We offer a shuttle service based in Yellowknife, to locations down the Ingraham Trail and Highway 3 to North Arm Park, Fort Providence, and Fort Simpson. We can accommodate up to 14 passengers in our off-road capable 2019 Chevy Express Van, outfitted with roof racks and a canoe trailer.
